A Celebration of Beauty...and Brains!

Remember the TV show, 'The Wonder Years' and that [then] cute girl who played Winnie Cooper? Here she is all grown-up! She even has a theory named after her.

Betraying the Purpose of Education

[Hat tip: THRUTCH]

For those reader's with children, look at what the NEA is up to. Their 'agenda' barely includes a word about actually teaching.

I'm not surprised in the least, of course. A thought here. What would it take for Congress to make a law outlawing all unions in the US? Lots of bloodshed, I guess.

Grin Factor 8 !

Zoom-Zoom.

http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/handleHomeFlash.action?vehicleCode=RX8&modelYear=2005

This is my dream car. Today's my birthday so I can dream all I want. No, I'm not suffering a "mid-life crises" or longing for younger days. I like fine things. Like the BMW Bike I posted the other day, and today's post of the RX-8. Many other things besides. My motto for today is: "I have the simplest of tastes. I am always satisfied with the best."
I forget who quoted that originally, but it sums up my good mood today and every day.

Blogroll Addition

While crusing thru Gus Van Horn's blog the other day, he mentioned Letters From An Enthusiast, a new blog he'd added to his rolls. I went there and was pleasantly surprised to see The Secular Foxhole linked up, so I'm returning the favor.
So, go visit "Letters". You'll be glad you did.

Someday. Maybe. Ya never know...

The Destruction of Social Security

Captialism Magazine has the article. Speaking for myself, the idea of social security ending "yesterday" isn't soon enough for me. Apparently 80% of American's think I'm wrong...
