I can't let the weekend go by without saying a huge "Thank You" to our service personnel, past and present.
You make it possible for us to enjoy freedom and the liberty of the individual to reach our highest height's. You deserve our honor and our respect not just on Memorial Day, but every day.

H.R.1528 would turn neighbor against neighbor in the vaunted "War on Drugs".

Hiatus

Hello everyone. It is with some degree of sadness that I announce that I have to take a break from posting/writing to the Secular Foxhole. Certain negative life events have taken a toll and have left me deeply depressed and, well, let's just say --morose-- in general. I don't know how long this will last either, as I cannot afford objective psychiatric assistance.

I will still welcome email correspondence, but I can't promise an immediate answer.
Of course, if the mood strikes, I may just post a thing or two if the news is warranted.

Actually, I had been working on a "Top Favorites" listing, of books, music, movies, etc. If I can finish that, I will post it for all to read and comment on, but again, I don't know when.

Evangelical Christians dominate Air Force Academy

This story, issued by the Seattle Times, covers a disturbing trend at one of our military academies. Says "christian" cadets use intimidation tactics on non-religious fellow students to badger them into accepting Christ.

Chavez calls on American's to "liberate" their nation...

Hugo Chavez, the Venezulean strongman-goon, while visiting Fidel in Cuba, calls on American's to "liberate" themselves from oppression. Not to mention, bad media!
I concur, but not in the way Hugo wants our 'liberation' :-)
