Holidays 2009/2010

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and will enjoy the fruits of a New Year! A change for me is that I will be among the hosts for the Objectivist Roundup, a weekly highlight of great posts by Objectivist bloggers. Tentative for a late February hosting position, I am looking forward to learning about hosting this great venue.

NYU panel discussion

Yesterday some friends of mine and I drove into NY to attend the NYU's opening "lecture" for the 2009-2010 school year. Featuring John Allison of BB&T and Yaron Brook, it was two hours of a pure intellectual buffet. The title of the talk was, "The Cause of the Current Crisis: Government Meddling."
This event was filmed, so it should be available soon from the Ayn Rand Bookstore,or, more likely, ARCTV, at the Ayn Rand Center. Definitely worth a look.

Google closes George Reisman's blog

Just going through my blog roll at random and I clicked on my link to George Reisman's blog. Apparently earlier this month, Google locked him out of his own blog either due to complaints or whatever that his blog was declared "spam". Now he posts from his own website, capitalism.net.

So much for free speech. Thanks Google.
